I doubt there’s a car guy left in this world who has never heard of Gatebil. It started as a track day quite a few years ago and grew into one of the most important and also biggest motorsports festivals in the world. It is pure sensory overload – you are constantly assaulted by the sound of screaming engines and squealing tires and the smell of burnt rubber, all while the whole track is covered in a fine layer of tire smoke. It is pure insanity. I still get goosebumps when I think of the event. Gatebil has it all. Insane Time Attack builds, physics-defying drifting, amazing show cars and overall a incredible ‘feel good’ vibe.
